With the judgment from September 12, 1999 - 312 O 85/99 - “Liability for Links” - the Landgericht Hamburg adjudged that whosoever publishes a link, is responsible for the contents of the said link, should the occasion arise. As determined by the Landgericht, this judgment can only be suspended when the publisher of the link explicitly divests himself from all responsibility concerning the content.
